The Windham Theatre Guild will hold open auditions for the international debut of Blessed Event at the Burton Leavitt Theatre this March. Written by Coventry resident, Jim Hetrick, the show has been accepted for publication by JAC Publications and Promotions, a major script publishing house. The plot centers around a French Canadian family living in Connecticut who is about to lose their patriarch to lung cancer. The family gathers in the patriarch's living room to wait for the end and to discuss hilarious and touching memories. The show will make you laugh, and it will make you cry. You will identify with the crazy family politics and the familial love that comes forth on the stage.
