The Hartt School’s Honors Chamber Music Ensemble Presents IMAGES OF MUSIC

Join The Hartt School's Honors Chamber Music Ensemble, Performance 20/20, for "Images of Music" on Saturday, March 6, at 3:00 PM and 7:30 PM, and Sunday, March 7, at 3:00 PM, in Berkman Auditorium in the Fuller Music Center on the University of Hartford's West Hartford campus. Art and music come together through live performance accompanied by images of art work:Saturday, March 6, at 3:00 PM: Paris in the Springtime - Including the beautiful Debussy Trio for Flute, Viola, and Harp; Ravel's Tombeau de Couperin as performed by our Reed Quintet; and de Fossa's Guitar Trio.Saturday, March 6, at 7:30 PM: Images Through Film - Including music of Mario Castelnuovo-Tedesco, Darius Milhaud, and the rarely heard Suite for 2 Violins, Cello, and Piano Left Hand, Op. 23 (1930), by Erich Wolfgang Korngold.Sunday, March 7, at 3:00 PM: An American Journey - Including music by American composers David Samson, Elliott Carter, Edward Miller, and Evan Chambers, and featuring Aaron Copland's Sextet for clarinet, piano and string quartet (arr. of Symphony No. 2).Concerts also will be streamed live on the web at http://hartford.edu/2020streaming.
