The Dance Collective aims to empower female dancers and choreographers to give them a voice and an equal opportunity. On November 5 at 7:30 p.m., The Dance Collective will be performing at Hog River Brewing. The collective aims to reach a wider audience, bringing professional dance to a casual setting.

The Dance Collective at Hog River Brewing highlights the work of various female choreographers and dancers from across the United States. A bill consisting of duets, trios, and group performances; dancers will utilize all areas of the brewery, conveying themes of empowerment, strength, and more. The choreographic artists that will be presenting are Jillian Foley, Katie Bittner, Jane Krantz, Meghan Dodd, Sheila Huggins, Dana Mazurowski, and Marjorie Gross.

The Dance Collective, founded by Jillian Foley, provides performance opportunities for female dancers and choreographers to collaborate in diverse performance settings. The driving force behind Foley's conception is that because of the vast amount of women in the dance world, women deserve more opportunities to dance, choreograph, and be leaders.

The Dance Collective at Hog River Brewing premieres on November 7 at Hog River Brewing Co., located at 1429 Park Street in Hartford, CT. Tickets are $12 in advance and $15 at the door.
