The Contemporary Players Ensemble To Perform in Lincoln Theater, Univ of Hartford

The Contemporary Players Ensemble, led by Glen Adsit, will perform on Wednesday, March 10, at 7:30 PM in Lincoln Theater, University of Hartford, 200 Bloomfield Avenue, West Hartford. This concert features the music of two American Icons: Aaron Copland and John Adams. The centerpieces of the concert will be the 13-musician version of Appalachian Spring and Adam's Grand Pianola Music for two grand pianos and ensemble.

The Contemporary Players Ensemble is a mixed ensemble of advanced players whose repertoire includes music of established 20th and 21st century as well as emerging 21st century composers. The ensemble has appeared in several of the nation's major cities, has been heard on Connecticut Public Radio and WNYC-FM, and recorded for Opus One and CRI.

The Hartt School is the comprehensive performing arts conservatory of the University of Hartford that offers innovative degree programs in music, dance, and theatre.
