Sunday Panel Discussion Planned for SISTER PLAY

By:

Chester Theatre Company (CTC) is pleased to announce that the Panel Discussion following the Sunday, August 7, matinee of its third show of the season, SISTER PLAY by John Kolvenbach, will feature Jan Freeman and Emily Wojcik, two of the three co-editors of the book "Sisters: An Anthology," published by Paris Press.

Jan Freeman, Founder and Director of Paris Press, is the author of "Simon Says," which was nominated for the National Book Critics Circle Award. Her other books include "Hyena" and "Autumn Sequence." She is the recipient of the 1993 Cleveland State Poetry Center award and was a contributing editor of The American Poetry Review for 25 years.

Emily Wojcik has worked in nonprofit publishing for more than a decade, first with Paris Press in Ashfield, MA, and now as Managing Editor of the Massachusetts Review. Her reviews and criticism have been published in The Women's Review of Books, The New Hibernia Review, PLOP!, and Communal Modernisms: Teaching Twentieth-Century Literature and Culture in the Twenty-First Century Classroom (Palgrave Macmillan).

Leading the discussion will be Daniel Elihu Kramer, Producing Artistic Director of Chester Theatre Company and Director of "Sister Play." The play, a quirky comedy, centers around two grown-up sisters who are forced to grow up when a mysterious stranger enters their lives.

The Panel Discussion is one element in CTC's audience-engagement series, which also includes Talkbacks with theatre artists followingThursday matinees and Saturday 8:00 p.m. shows, and Cast Conversations following Friday matinees.

Ticket holders to performances on dates other than Sunday, August 7, are welcome to attend the Panel Discussion, which will begin at approximately 4:00. For more information, please call 413-354-7771.

Show times for Sister Play are 8:00 p.m. Wednesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays, and 2:00 p.m. Thursdays, Fridays, and Sundays.
