Sharon Playhouse Hosts One Night Only Concert of THE PIRATES OF PENZANCE

Continuing their pledge to offer the audiences in the Northwest region of Connecticut and it's environs year-round entertainment, the historic Sharon Playhouse in Sharon CT is collaborating for the first time with the Salisbury Sinfonietta to present a semi-staged concert event on the mainstage of the venerable Connecticut playhouse on Saturday October 6th at 8:00pm.

Directed by Sharon Playhouse Artistic Director Alan M-L Wager and conducted by Salisbury Sinfonietta Music Director/Conductor Dr. Jack Bowman, the concert will feature a 25 piece orchestra live on stage and a cast consisting of local and New York talent.

The principal cast includes Daniel Klein (Pirate King), David Cantor (Major General Stanley), Max Swarner (Frederic), Katie Weiser (Mabel), Laurie Ellington (Ruth), John Champion (Samuel), Joanna Seaton (Edith), Elizabeth Dayton (Kate) and Marc Boissey (Sergeant of Police).

The ensemble includes Chico Aller, Martin Baltus, Ward Belcher, Louise Brown, Malcolm Brown, Adam Cantor, Sarah Cuocom, Don Freedman, Susie Hackel, Peggy Heck, Joe Kolodziej, John Lloyd, Carol Magowan, Deborah Mark, Thomas McGlone, Pete Putzel, Roger Putzel, Lynn Reifsnyder, Anne Richardson, Lou Simmons, Mollie Sosin, Savannah Stevenson, Sara Wardell

This concert is dedicated to the memory of Georgia Johnson McEver, founder and Artistic Director of the Light Opera Company of Salisbury (LOCOS).
