STAGE TUBE: Watch Highlights from Broadway Method Academy's THE MUSIC MAN

Broadway Method Academy, a musical theater program that recently opened a new studio in downtown Fairfield, presented the classic American musical, The Music Man. The non-profit organization's mission is connecting the stars of today with the stars of tomorrow, and this production welcomed to the company Broadway actors Grady Long (The Audience, starring Helen Mirren) and Stephanie Jae Park (The King and I, Cinderella, War Paint). The Music Man played Fairfield University's Quick Center for the Arts October 8-9. Click below to watch highlights from the show!

The classic American musical, The Music Man follows fast-talking traveling salesman, Harold Hill, as he cons the people of River City, Iowa, into buying instruments and uniforms for a boys' band that he vows to organize - this, despite the fact that he doesn't know a trombone from a treble clef. His plans to skip town with the cash are foiled when he falls for Marian, the librarian, who transforms him into a respectable citizen by curtain's fall.

Directed by Connor Deane, the production was choreographed by Julie Kavanagh with music direction by J. Scott Handley. Scenic design is by Ryan Howell, with lighting design by Weston Wetzel and sound design by Tommy Rosati.
