The celebrated Provincetown Theater's Annual Gala, "The Rat Pack Is Back" returns over the course of three nights, featuring a Vegas-style musical revue, to benefit The Provincetown Theater Foundation, beginning December 29 and continuing December 30 and January 1 (no performance on December 31).

Each evening will feature noted Cape Cod performers and special guest stars, including Bobby Wetherbee, Larry Marsland, Peter Donnelly and Thirsty Burlington. The theater and its lobby will provide old Vegas atmospherics, with special scenic designs that echo the classic Caesars Palace interiors, plus Vegas Showgirls and Showboys.

The Rat Pack Nightclub Singers include Clyde Shelby Mellert, who is also the Musical Director, Beau Jacket, Patricia Fitzpatrick, Lacey Waite, Edwige Yingling, Rob Vaughan, Sallie Tighe, Marcy Feller and Alison Hyder. The Band Director is Casey Sanderson, who is also on the piano, and Sue Goldberg on bass.

Provincetown's own Town Manager David Panagore will emcee all three evenings. Gala steering committee members include: Co-chairs Margaret Van Sant and Tom Boland, Alli Baldwin, Kristina Bird, Caleb Eigsti, Wesley Martin, Clyde Shelby, Lynda Sturner, John Ives, Michael Walczak, David Bishop, and Angella Graham.

Ticket prices vary for each of the three nights. On Thursday, December 29, the theater invites all Provincetown residents to enjoy a "townie" performance at 7:30 pm, featuring Thirsty Burlington. There will be a cash bar, but no food service. Tickets are $20 for December 29 only.

On Friday, December 30, general admission tickets are $40. The show begins at 7:30 pm and includes light snacks and a cash bar. The evening features Provincetown's beloved cabaret performer Bobby Wetherbee.

On New Year's Day 2017, the spectacular Vegas-style gala kicks off at 6:30 pm, with cocktails and drinks in the theater lobby ("Rat Pack Lounge" for just one night). The main stage and theater will be transformed into an intimate cabaret with extensive food service (underwritten by Far Land Provisions). Casino gambling will add to the "glitz and glamor" of the evening. Featured performers on New Year's Day evening will include Larry Marsland and Peter Donnelly. January 1 gala tickets are $150 per person. Premium tickets are $200 per person and include VIP stage-side seating. Special pricing and perks for corporate tables are also available.

The 2017 Gala Honorary Committee includes Dan Wolf, Lori Meads, and Paul Fanizzi.

Formed in 2001 in the birthplace of modern American theater, the primary purpose of The Provincetown Theater Foundation (PTF) is to sustain, encourage and promote the performing arts on Outer Cape Cod through the maintenance and management, both physically and artistically, of the Provincetown Theater located at 238 Bradford Street, Provincetown, Massachusetts in order to provide performance and educational space for theatrical artists within the Cape Cod community and beyond.
