Playhouse on Park Young Audience Series Presents JUNIE B. JONES THE MUSICAL

By:
Based on the book series by Barbara Park, young theater lovers and bookworms alike will absolutely love the high-energy stage production of Junie B. Jones at Playhouse on Park! It opens today, May 21, and tickets are now on sale, so get them fast before they're gone! With book and lyrics by Marcy Heisler and music by Zina Goldrich, Junie B. Jones follows its spunky protagonist on her first day of first grade. And it becomes a day of firsts as Junie learns to make new friends, a thing or two about cooking from a jolly cafeteria lady, and how to have fun during an outrageous kickball tournament! Audience members will experience this eventful day told through song and dance, and recorded in Junie's Top-Secret Beeswax Journal! Playhouse on Park welcomes back the incredibly talented Kevin Barlowski to direct a cast of professional actors from New York City!

Our neighbors, A.C. Petersen's Farms Restaurant, is offering a special treat for those who come to the show, too! Visit the restaurant before or after a show and kids get free ice cream with the purchase of a kid's meal! Choose from the traditional Clown Sundae or a Mrs. Gutzman Sugar Cookie Ice Cream Sandwich! Patrons must present tickets from the show to redeem offer. Junie B. Jones is recommended for students in grades K-5 but offers fun for the entire family. Run time is one hour. The show runs on 5/21, 5/22, 5/25, 5/28 and 5/29. All shows are at 1pm & 4pm, with the exception of Wednesday 5/25, with shows at 10am & 2:30pm.
