Photo Coverage: Rondi Charleston & Friends Holiday Show At Westport Country Playhouse
This past saturday night a full-house weathered the storm and welcomed Singer-songwriter RONDI CHARLESTON for her "Rondi Charleston & Friends," Holiday Show playing just one night at The Westport Country Playhouse - (Saturday, December 19). The show featured selections from Rondi's acclaimed "IN MY LIFE" CD/DVD, plus classics such as "Winter Wonderland", "Sleigh Ride," "Let It Snow", as well as pop and jazz standards. Accompanying Ms. Charleston were her accaimed 5-piece band, back-up singers, and special guest - Broadway's Tony award-winner Boyd Gaines for "Baby, It's Cold Outside" and "Winter Wonderland").
Ms. Charleston's acclaimed recording, "In My Life," a CD/DVD set, is now available at www.borders.com. Says JazzTimes Magazine, "Hers is an immense gift...the jazz equivalent of a gin & tonic: cool, clear and effervescent, with a deliciously subtle kick." The recording includes 14 CD tracks and 15 DVD tracks and is available nationwide. This past spring, Ms. Charleston toured the US with dates at leading jazz venues, including: Sculler's in Boston, Catalina Jazz Club in Los Angeles, Dazzle in Denver, The Dakota in Minneapolis and Jazz at Lincoln Center's Dizzy's Club Coca-Cola®, in New York City.
