Paula Poundstone to Play Ridgefield Playhouse, Today

With her razor-sharp wit and impeccable comedic timing, Paula Poundstone is the star of NPR's hit radio show "Wait, Wait...Don't Tell Me". She will perform a night of comedy on Saturday, February 28, at The Ridgefield Playhouse at 8 p.m. Her latest book is There's Nothing in This Book That I Meant to Say...very funny. Poundstone is known as one of the funniest comedians around. She can be heard on NPR's "Morning Edition", the "Huffington Post" and comedy site "23/6." Her first book, There's Nothing in This Book That I Meant to Say, is an autobiography that is "part memoir, part monologue" and intertwines historical biographies with anecdotes from her own life. Paula's ironic and blindingly intelligent humor will touch the reader.

The star of several solo HBO and Bravo specials, Paula was the first woman to win an ACE Award (the Cable Emmy Award) for Best Standup Comedy Performance and the first woman to be invited to perform at the distinguished White House Correspondents' dinner, which the President of the United States attends.
