Nite Spot Nights Presents Scott Coulter: the Music of Carole King, Neil Sedaka and More

Milford Arts Council, in association with Pantochino Productions Inc., announce the first show of their third season of the Nite Spot Nights series of cabaret entertainment on Saturday, September 9th at 8 pm, at the Milford Center for the Arts in downtown Milford.
Scott Coulter performs the songs of the Brill Building greats including Carole King, Neil Sedaka and many more.
The Brill Building, in New York city, was the epicenter of much of American music where songwriters, music agencies, and recording labels were based. It was regarded as probably the most prestigious address in New York for music professionals of all types.
The Brill Building's name has been widely adopted as a shorthand term for a broad and influential stream of American mainstream popular song that was influenced by Latin, traditional gospel, and rhythm and blues which enjoyed great commercial success in the late 1950s and 1960s.
Some of the greats that began their careers or worked at the Brill Building were Carole King, Bur Bacharach, Bobby Darin, Neil Diamond, Johnny Mercer and Neil Sedaka. Scott Coulter will be performing hits from many of these and other singer/songwriters.
Scott Coulter is one of New York's most honored vocalists. For his work in cabaret, Scott has received five Manhattan Association of Cabarets & Clubs awards, five Bistro Awards and two Nightlife Awards for Outstanding Vocalist. He has performed at most of NYC's top rooms including Birdland, 54 Below, The Oak Room at the Algonquin, and Feinstein's at The Regency.
Nite Spot Nights offers six 'night club' style evenings of entertainment. Evoking the feeling of New York City cabaret rooms, the series is a varied collection of musical performances by some of the city's hottest acts. To enhance the experience, the Center for the Arts will be set with tables and chairs inviting patrons to bring along the food and drink of their choice.
Tickets for Nite Spot Nights are $30.00 and available online at www.milfordarts.org or by calling 203-878-6647, Tuesdays- Fridays 10- 5 pm.
