Mythbusters- Behind the Myths Tour Comes To The Bushnell

By:

Adam Savage and Jamie Hyneman, of Discovery Channel fame will appear with Mythbusters - Behind the Myths Tour at The Bushnell Center for the Performing Arts on Friday, March 30, 2012 at 8:00 p.m. to bust a few of their favorite science myths on stage in an evening that will include audience participation and video segments. Together this duo has fascinated audiences by using science and technology to prove or disprove many of today's most riveting Urban Legends.

Tickets for Mythbusters - Behind the Myths Tour go on sale Friday, November 11, and can be purchased by visiting The Bushnell Box Office at 166 Capitol Avenue in Hartford or by calling (860) 987-5900. Tickets may also be purchased online at www.bushnell.org. Ticket prices start at $35.00. Ticket prices do not include all applicable fees.

As co-hosts of television's Mythbusters, Adam Savage and Jamie Hyneman take a scientific approach to tackle modern misconceptions and the bizarre claims of Urban Legends. The wacky pair puts these tales to the ultimate test, backed by experts in folklore, crime, medicine and engineering, and they even put their own bodies on the line in search of the truth that lies at the heart of some of our favorite myths.

Together Adam and Jamie have more than thirty years experience in feature film special effects, animatronics and toy prototyping. With this background they have tested everything from if Pop Rocks and soda can make your stomach explode to the possibility of getting stuck on an airplane toilet. They have performed hundreds of experiments all aimed to shed light on what myths are just tall tales and which aren't myths at all.
