Music Theatre of Connecticut Presents YOU'RE A GOOD MAN CHARLIE BROWN Benefit Production

Music Theatre of Connecticut presents "You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown." The production will take place on Friday and Saturday, July 15 and 16 at 7:30pm at Toquet Hall, 62 Post Road East in Westport,?CT. Tickets are $10 for adults and $7 for students, and reservations are suggested. All proceeds will benefit Music Theatre of Connecticut. Based on the comic strip "Peanuts" by Charles M. Schulz, "You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown" features book, music and lyrics by Clark Gesner, with additional dialogue by Michael Mayer and additional music and lyrics by Andrew Lippa. "You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown" chronices an average day in the life of Charlie Brown made up of little moments picked from all the days of Charlie Brown, from Valentine's Day to the baseball season, from wild optimism to utter despair, all mixed in with the lives of his friends (both human and non-human) and strung together on the string of a single day, from bright uncertain morning to hopeful starlit evening. Musical numbers include "My Blanket and Me," "The Baseball Game," "Suppertime" and "Happiness." Join the Peanuts gang in this fast paced, lighthearted musical, guaranteed to delight audiences of all ages.

"You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown" is a fully staged and costumed production performed is produced and directed by MTC School of Performing Arts alumni Caley Beretta (BA Theatre, Northwestern University '14) and musical direction by Jake Yarmoff (Penn State '14). The cast features Dan Shure (BA Theatre, Skidmore College '14) as Charlie Brown, Chris Nicoletti (Fordham University '14) as Snoopy, Matt Greenberg (BFA Musical Theatre, Ithaca College '15) as Schroeder, Sami Schwaeber (Staples High School '12) as Sally Brown, Annabelle Shea (Weston High School '13) as Lucy Van Pelt and Ryan Shea (Staples High School '13) as Linus Van Pelt.
