Lou Diamond Phillips, Keilly McQuail and Matt Haimovitz, plus Connecticut theatre/film critic Tom Holehan, are special guests on State of the ARTS today, February 19, 2016. The program is heard LIVE each Friday from 12noon to 1pm on WPKN-FM (89.5) in Bridgeport, Connecticut. Co-hosts are Richard Pheneger and Peggy Nelson.

Lou Diamond Phillips has written and is starring in the World Premiere of Burning DESIRE at the Seven Angels Theatre in Waterbury, Connecticut.

Keilly McQuail, who starred in last season's BAD JEWS at Long Wharf Theatre is currently co-starring with Mare Winningham in HER REQUIEM at NYC's Lincoln Center Theatre 3.

Cellist Mark Hamovitz will be featured in an upcoming concert at the Stilvermine Arts Center in New Canaan, Connecticut.

Tom Holehan, co-founder of Connecticut Critics Circle and resident critic for State of the ARTS, will offer his Oscar predictions.

State of the ARTS, which features arts and entertainment personalities, airs LIVE each Friday from 12noon-1pm on WPKN-FM located at 89.5 and streams worldwide online at wpkn.org.
