Long Wharf Theatre announces a full slate of summer acting classes for adults and children, beginning in June.

A class entitled "Nonlinear Works", an opportunity for adults to create an authentic performance style, will take place from June 12-July 31. Teens will get a taste of classic scene and monologue work in Long Wharf Theatre's "ReACT Now!" class, held from July 26-July 30. Kids have a chance to enjoy the reckless abandon of great storytelling in the "Off The Cuff Improvisation" class, running from August 2-6. Private acting lessons are also available.

Director of Education Annie DiMartino uses what she describes as the "Three Faces Approach" to improve her students' acting technique, an approach which explores what an individual performer brings to a role, the role itself and the tactics one uses to achieve an acting objective. "Our unique approach towards acting gets you out of your head and into your body, which allows you to listen and take risks on stage," she said.

For more information or to register, call DiMartino at 203-787-4284, ext. 271 or e-mail annie.dimartino@longwharf.org.
