Healing World Project to Host OPEN HEART, OPEN MIC at Musical Intervention
The Healing World Project, a new collaboration between Integrated Refugee and Immigrant Services (IRIS), University of Saint Joseph, University of Hartford, Central Connecticut State University and the Afro-Semitic Experience, is hosting Open Heart, Open Mic, an open mic night for recent immigrants and refugees.
The concert will take place on Tuesday, November 7, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at Musical Intervention, 23 Temple St, New Haven, CT. Free! Contact healingworldproject@gmail.com for more information.
Musicians will receive gift cards for their performance and have the opportunity for future paid work through the Healing World Band. Free food and childcare will be provided! All refugees and recent immigrant musicians are invited to come and share their musical talents in a supportive atmosphere.
