October 4th, 2017. Roberts Theater at the Mort and Irma Handel Performing Arts Center, 35 Westbourne Parkway, Hartford.

Building Out is a full evening production of solos and ensemble pieces inspired by the the 2018 senior dance majors' continuous exploration and construction of dance as they lay the foundation for their future careers in dance. This concert features an array of innovative and engaging contemporary choreographic works that capture the unique personalities of each choreographer, and explore a wide range of movement dynamics, athleticism, as well as boldly questioned societal norms. In addition to their own choreography, the six dancers - Lauren Bricca, Katie Judge, Hannah Belrose, Samiyah Parramore, Sarah Nulsen, and Kayla Hamilton will perform commissioned solos created by seven nationally and internationally renowned choreographers: Andrea Miller, Terence Marling, Whitney Dufrene, Darrell Grand Moultrie, Christopher Ralph, Xan Burley, and Alex Springer.
