Ephron to Speak at Read to Grow Event At Long Wharf 12/4

Join Read to Grow for "A Conversation with Nora Ephron - humorist, novelist and writer-director - on Saturday, December 4 at 3:00 p.m. on Long Wharf Theatre's Mainstage in New Haven. Advance reservations are necessary.

Following wine and cheese reception at 2:30 p.m., Read to Grow founder and board chair Roxanne Coady will interview Ms. Ephron, author of a new book, "I Remember Nothing: and Other Reflections."

In "I Remember Nothing," Nora Ephron returns with her first book since the astounding success of "I Feel Bad About My Neck," taking a cool, hard, hilarious look at the past, the present, and the future, bemoaning the vicissitudes of modern life, and recalling with her signature clarity and wisdom everything she hasn't (yet) forgotten. Publishers Weekly called the book "an intelligent, alert, entertaining perspective that does not take itself too seriously." Ephron recalls with signature clarity and wisdom everything she hasn't (yet) forgotten, and all the while, gives candid, edgy voice to everything women who have reached a certain age think - but rarely acknowledge.

Ephron is one of the country's most well-known and beloved screenwriters and directors. She recently wrote and directed the hit movie Julie & Julia, and has received Academy Award nominations for best original screenplay for the immensely popular and critically acclaimed When Harry Met Sally, Silkwood, and Sleepless in Seattle, which she also directed.

Single seats to the event are $75 and include a copy of the new book. Premium seats, which include a personalized copy of "I Remember Nothing..." and proximity seating, are $125. Sponsorships are also available.
