DRAKORIAN: A New Musical World Premiere at Yale

By: Nov. 16, 2016

Yale is excited to announce a production of Drakorian, a BRAND NEW MUSICAL which will take place in Yale's own Off-Broadway Theater from February 16-18, 2017.

A little bit about the show:

Augustus the First, the semi-legitimate king of a country picking itself up from a decade of civil war, is Drakora's last hope for a peaceful future. He must marry and procreate to secure the ill-gotten gains of his father, perpetuate a legacy he has no interest in keeping, reconcile his self-loathing with his need for self-preservation against treasonous courtiers, and keep his head on straight the whole while. His faults are few but fatal, his fits go from spat to tiff to war in the span of an afternoon. His is the intersection of power, privilege, disinterest, and depression, and this is the story of those caught in the crossfire of Augustus' war against his own self.

Told with a original book by Yale's own Hershel Holiday, and an breathtaking score by Hershel Holiday, Tessa Murthy, Hayden Kline, we are confident that this show will move on to great things, and are especially excited to offer it to Yale before anywhere else.

Since they will be playing a strictly limited engagement, and because the show is premiering at Yale, the company is experiencing very high demand for tickets and information about the show. The students involved will be hosting a press conference and sending more information shortly. This is the first all-original musical that Yale has seen in quite some time, and were are excited to communicate it to the student body, and to the world.
