Cage Match at Playhouse on Park Set for Tonight

By:

Season Seven's first Improv Cage Match at Playhouse on Park is tonight, October 30, and we need you to be the judge! That's right, if you think you know what tickles your funny bone the best, this is your chance to attend and pick the winner! Introducing the contenders: KnucklePuck, Kidney Scones and Concerete Tomato! All three teams will compete head to head for a cash prize. The victor is invited to return to defend their title at the next show of the series.

KnucklePuck is comprised of four wild kids - all Connecticut natives - teaming up to annihilate the crowd work game through teamwork, physicality, and a whole lot of crazy. Kidney Scones is a collection of local improvisers who are focused on studying and performing the Harold. They figure that if you're going to do long form improv you might as well do the structure developed by Del Close. The team has studied improv at a variety of schools and theaters and settled on the Harold through a series of debates, arguments, bribes, and ultimately a tournament of arm wrestling. Concrete Tomato was formed in the summer of 2015 in Hartford. Its members have performed on stages across Connecticut; they have now combined forces for maximum irreverence.

The Cage Match commences at 8:00 pm sharp, with doors opening at 7:30 pm. All tickets are a steal at only $10, general admission seating. This is a BYOB event.

For tickets, call our box office at 860-523-5900 x10 or visit www.playhouseonpark.org. Playhouse on Park is located at 244 Park Road, West Hartford, CT 06119.
