Broadway Method Academy, Fairfield County's premier musical theater training program, opened a re-imagined production of Legally Blonde last night to rave reviews. Broadway actors, Julius Anthony Rubio & Allysa Shorte staged the production.

"We are thrilled that our audiences have so warmly received this production. Having Julius and Allysa to Fairfield and BMA this summer has been an amazing experience for our young actors. Our students are getting to experience a true professional Broadway creative process. The bar has been set exceptionally high, and we know our incredibly talented young actors will far exceed our expectations," said Executive Producer Connor Deane.

Joining Julius Anthony Rubio (Finding Neverland, On Your Feet) and Allysa Shorte (After Midnight, Spongebob Squarepants: The Musical), will be J. Scott Handley (Musical Direction), and Colleen McCurely (Associate Choreographer) performances will run July 29 - 30 at Fairfield University's Quick Center for the Arts.

The cast features Amber Schaper as Elle Woods with Sabrina Rollings (Paulette), David Littlefield (Emmett), Matthew Paula (Warner), Kelsey Lepesko (Vivienne), Julia Vitale (Brooke), Sheridan Mullins (Margot), Madison Lemone (Serena), Paris Looney (Pilar).

The production also features scenic design by Ryan Howell, lighting design by Weston G. Wetzel, wig design by Kelly Yurko of CCM, and costume design by Colleen Fitzsimons. Connor Deane serves as executive producer/associate director and Colleen McCurley as associate choreographer.

The incredible company features Magee Snyder, Olivia Diaz, Alexis Reda, Liza Tananbaum, Charles Rusciano, Kevin Geraghty, Austin James Cleri, Gabby Paige, Justin Geyer, Emerson Raymond, Kevin Keating, Sierra Wilcox, Meaghan Cassidy, Colleen McCurley, Alaina McCarvill, Amm Butler, Kaitlyn Richards, Claire Borgatti, Leah Turner, ,Jason Zink, Jack Stone, Jameesa Bennett, Ryan Kennedy and Andre Gordon.

Based on the hit movie, Legally Blonde The Musical, press notes state, is a "fresh and effervescent evening of musical fun, stylishly wrapped up in a smart pink bow! Elle Woods is the college sweetheart and homecoming queen who doesn't take no for an answer. So when her boyfriend, Warner, dumps her for someone 'serious', Elle puts down the credit cards, hits the books, and heads for Harvard Law School. Along the way, Elle proves that being true to yourself never goes out of style." The musical features music and lyrics by Laurence O'Keefe and Nell Benjamin and a book by Heather Hach.
