Each scene talks about the horror and joyfulness that comes with Motherhood in a different stage of life. It brings you back to all the times you thought your mother was embarrassing you but really it was just as embarrassing for your mother as well. There were also heartfelt scenes just as well.

While everyone can imagine how painful giving birth is no knows it better then mothers. As all of these mothers are expecting a baby to come none of them expect the pain. This sets the mood for the show.

There was one scene in the chapter two where one of the mother's son wanted to dress up as "Queen Esther". During the scene the mother had to the faced the realty that her son wanted to were a dress out in public. During the scene the mother doesn't know how to handle it as the scene progress the mother and the son are out and he's wearing the dress and the mother is doing the one thing a mother can do and that's protecting him form the comments as the scene comes to an end it shows theirs no love like a mother supporting her son.

During Chapter three is title Sex Talk this scene brings the awkwardness that every teenager dreads. As it turns out this is as true for mothers as well. During the chapter one of the scene is called "Michael's first date" In this scene one of the mother take their son on his first date. During the scene the mother is more excited then the son. When the mother picks her son up form the date she can tell that something is wrong and tries to save it. The scene ends with the son embarrassed and the mother embarrassed as well.

Chapter four is the chapter where it shows kids growing up and the mothers handling it as well as a mother could. One of the scene is called gradation day. In this scene one of the mother's son is the valedictorian and he hasn't written his speech yet so like any mother would she tries to be patience as a mother could. As the scene comes to an end she stays up with him all night to fished his speech.

Chapter five is the last chapter and the chapter is named Coming home. As the show comes to an end the kids are grown up and the mothers reflect with kids living their own lives. The show last scene called "my baby" in the scene a first time mother has her mother over to help out with the baby. She shares a heart to heart with her mother and her mother saying "it hasn't been 35 years its been 35 minutes." This line really sets the show about that's about life and mother hood
