Review: Jermaine Dupri & Queen Latifah at Mohegan Sun

Over the weekend, Mohegan Sun in Connecticut, brought in two talented artists, Jermaine Dupri and Queen Latifah, to its multifaceted casino and resort.

Queen Latifah kicked things off in the Mohegan Sun Arena with her concert featuring a sultry mix of soul, jazz, rap and R&B. The rapper, singer, and actress took the stage in a sequin hoodie and swooned the crowd with her live band in part of her recent tour.

Next on the list was Jermaine Dupri. The rapper and songwriter took over the DJ booth at Mohegan Sun's newest entertainment destination, Novelle, mixing both old school and modern hip-hop beats with the likes of Jay-Z, Kayne West, and more.

If you haven't checked out Novelle yet, you should. This super swanky space is everything in one: restaurant, lounge, bar, and club. Get there early to order off the dinner menu featuring burrata with walnut pesto, seared scallops, and ricotta gnocchi, and stay late for the entertainment: various celebrity guest appearances and DJ performances. Catch DJ Jazzy Jeff set to entertain the crowds on Friday, July 19th.
