Opera House Players, Inc. is proud to present the Connecticut premiere of the 2004 Off-Broadway musical BARE: A POP OPERA from September 10 -26, at the Broad Brook Opera House, 107 Main Street, Broad Brook, CT. Performances are Fridays and Saturdays at 8 pm and Sundays at 2 pm. Tickets can be purchased online at www.operahouseplayers.org or by calling the box office at 860-292-6068. Recommended for mature audiences.

BARE is the coming-of-age story of five high school seniors at a co-ed Catholic boarding school who face issues of sexuality and personal identity. To figure out who they are, they seek answers from their church, their friends, and ultimately, themselves. BARE deals with homosexuality, religion, drugs, and other issues relevant to today. BARE has been described as a kind of cousin to Broadway's RENT - pop and rock songs telling the stories of young people yearning to connect and be authentic in a time of great personal chaos.

The production will be directed by Philip D. Vetro, with music direction by Angela Klimaytis, and choreography by Todd SantaMaria.
