Town Players of Newtown's final production for the 2016 season is ALMOST, MAINE by John Cariani. It opens on Friday, November 18 at 8 PM.

Premiering at the Portland Stage Company in Portland, Maine in 2004, ALMOST, MAINE is comprised of nine vignettes that explore love and loss. The quirky approach to the delights and dangers of romance take place in a remote, mythical "almost-town" called Almost, Maine.

The New York Times said, "This is a beautifully structured play, with nifty surprise endings (most but not all of them happy) and passing references to characters from other vignettes, which slyly tell us more about them."

Directed by Terry Sagedy of Newtown, ALMOST, MAINE features the talents of Tony Benedetti of Beacon Falls, Shawn Brown of Danbury, Brooke Cassalia of Monroe, Rick Haylon of Newtown, RoseMary Howard of Waterbury, Joe Koproski of Redding, Laurel Lettieri of Norwalk, James O'Reilly of Redding, and Stephanie Woerdeman of Norwalk.

The production crew includes producers Brian DeToma of Danbury and Nick Kaye of Bethel, who also serves as the set and lighting designer.??ALMOST, MAINE runs November 18 - December 10.
