1916 Silent Film SHERLOCK HOLMES, Starring William Gillette, to Screen at Gillette Castle State Park, 9/18-20

The Connecticut premiere of the newly discovered (in Paris!) and restored 1916 silent film SHERLOCK HOLMES, with William Gillette in the title role, will be presented as a two-hour feature film, with English subtitles and musical score, by the Friends of Gillette Castle State Park.

Dates are Friday, September 18th through Sunday, September 20th, during the town of East Haddam's Fall Visitor's Weekend. Showtimes are at 5:00pm and again at 8:00pm, with a finger food and wine reception included half an hour before showtime, thanks to SherlockGrill and Staehly Winery. Seats for the whole shebang are a mere $10.

Please be advised, seats are sold on a first come-first served basis, and the Sunday, Sep 20th 5:00pm showing is already SOLD OUT. There are only 50 seats per show, all seats are sold in advance, no tickets will be sold at the door. Call Friends at 860-373-1375 or visit their website at www.friendsofgillettecastle.com.

Movie showings will take place at the Visitor's Center at the Castle, 67 River Rd, East Haddam. There is a large parking lot adjacent and the venue is wheelchair accessible.
