The CSO's Concerts for Kids Teams Up with CATCO is Kids to Present PETER AND THE WOLF

As part of the CSO's Concerts for Kids series, CSO Music Director Rossen Milanov and the Columbus Symphony have teamed up with CATCO is Kids for a one-hour, storytelling concert designed for kids ages 3-10. Specifically written to cultivate the musical interests of young children, Prokofiev's Peter and the Wolf will come to life on stage with CATCO is Kids child and adult actors visually portraying the characters and the CSO musically representing each role with a different instrument.

The complete program includes:

  • A Night on Bald Mountain

TCHAIKOVSKY

  • Suite from The Nutcracker
  • Russian Dance
  • Chinese Dance
  • Dance of the Reed Flutes

PROKOFIEV

  • Peter and the Wolf

Attendees are invited to come early and enjoy pre-concert activities beginning at 2pm in the Davidson Theatre lobby. Activities include:

  • Instruments to see and play from the Loft Violin Shop and Music & Arts
  • Music activities with Musicology.
  • Crafting with the Columbus Museum of Art
  • Conducting lessons with the CSO's principal cellist Luis Biava
  • Musical fun with WeJoySing
  • Temporary musical tattoos
  • Singing and dancing with Joanie
  • Meet the CSO's new mascot, Bee-thoven!

The Columbus Symphony's Concerts for Kids presents Peter and the Wolf at the Davidson Theatre in the Vern Riffe Center (77 S. High St.) on Sunday, January 15, at 3pm. Recommended for ages 3-10, the concert will last approximately one hour. Tickets are $12 for adults and $8 for children, and can be purchased at the CAPA Ticket Center (39 E.
