Based on a story by Jean Cocteau, a young man is seduced by death, in the form of woman. Intense, visually appealing, it focuses on the play of colors of the sets and costumes, and a technique that requires a great dancer, the young and Death (1946) finally incorporates choreography by Roland Petit to the repertoire of Ballet de Santiago. And it does probably the best way: with one of his masterpieces. It is also a classic today, which is danced in several scenarios, including the Paris Opera. John Cranko has a prominent place in the season. The Lady and the Fool is one of his earliest works (1954) and a clear example of his style and comic narrative markedly. The interpretation of the clown who falls for a woman requires great technical artists and theatrical skills. The South African choreographer is one of the figures that has marked the Company for over 20 years, with memorable ballets as Romeo and Juliet, The Taming of the Shrew, Onegin, Initials RBME
