Olmsted Performing Arts' ALICE IN WONDERLAND Opens Today

By:

Olmsted Performing Arts (OPA) - http://www.olmstedperformingarts.com - in Olmsted Falls will present "Disney's Alice in Wonderland Jr." starting today, June 12.

The story of Alice traveling through a dreamland of talking animals, singing flowers and dancing playing cards will be brought to life by the OPA Youth Stage performers. It is an amazing visual and musical experience, based on the book by Lewis Carroll. It is a delightful adaptation of the classic Disney film and showcases favorite characters including the White Rabbit, Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum and The Queen of Hearts among others.

The show will be directed by OPA Dance and Theater Instructor Megan Nicole. In recent years she has directed youth stage productions including "Into the Woods Jr." and "The Jungle Book Kids" and starred in productions including "Beauty and the Beast" and "High School Musical 2."

"This show is a lot of fun," Nicole says. "It is a favorite for those of all ages and I think the audience will connect with it and be smiling along with all our energetic stars."

The cast includes Kailee Shaver as Alice, Aubree Stone as the White Rabbit, Michael Boehm as the Mad Hatter, Jake Ingrassia as Tweedle Dee, Cole Rector as Tweedle Dum and Paige Boehm as the Queen of Hearts. The show will be produced by OPA Founder and Artistic Director Angela Boehm.
