Kaplan's Furniture & OPA Partner for ONCE UPON A MATRESS
Joining together as community partners Kaplan's Furniture - http://www.kaplansfurniture.com - in North Olmsted and Elyria and the Olmsted Performing Arts Center - http://www.olmstedperformingarts.com - in Olmsted Falls, Ohio have teamed up to promote the performance of "Once Upon A Mattress" at the Olmsted Performing Arts Center (OPAC) in July.
All customers who shop at Kaplan's Furniture from now until July and buy something, maybe a mattress, can enter into a raffle to win free tickets to see the Olmsted Performing Arts (OPA) performance of "Once Upon A Mattress" in July. Also, any Kaplan's customer from now until July can bring their Kaplan's receipt to the OPAC and receive a 15% discount on tickets to "Once Upon A Mattress."
"Once Upon A Mattress" is the story of an unmarried prince, Prince Dauntless, searching for a woman to marry him and be his princess. Dozens of girls want to marry the prince but his mother, Queen Aggravain, has dismissed each of the women. King Sextimus declares that nobody can get married until his son, the prince, gets married. The right wife must be found right away.
A production of the OPA Youth Stage, "Once Upon A Mattress," is being directed by Megan Hyde, a dance and theatre veteran who has directed and choreographed more than nine productions at OPA, and had starring roles in OPA productions of "Beauty and the Beast" and "White Christmas" among others.
Performances of "Once Upon A Mattress," at the 1,300 person OPAC state-of-the-art auditorium, will be on July 11 at 7 p.m., July 12 at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m., and July 13 at 2 p.m.
Cast members include Owen Anderson as King Sextimus, Chelsea Falatic of Queen Aggravain and Blake Gallaway as Prince Dauntless. The "Once Upon A Mattress" production team includes producer, Angela Boehm, and technical director Bob Foraker.
