The Hudson Players are pleased to announce a unique and affordable dinner and show offer to accompany their upcoming production of the Frank Loesser musical fable - GUYS AND DOLLS. The show opens April 24, and the Hudson Players have worked with Hudson's Restaurant on the Green to offer couples dinner and a show for $55.00. This price includes two reserved seating tickets to GUYS AND DOLLS and dinner for two at Hudson's Restaurant.

"We really feel this is a great offer for theater lovers in general, but even more specifically for those fans of Carousel who liked the option of getting dinner and a show at one price and were looking forward to seeing GUYS AND DOLLS," said Gary Maher, producer of GUYS AND DOLLS. "We also really worked closely with Hudson's Restaurant to ensure that we could provide the entire package at a value price. We feel this offer is unmatched in that they will get to enjoy the great food of Hudson's Restaurant and see one of the best musicals ever written at a cost less than many shows are by themselves."

Available with any evening performance, patrons will have a 6 p.m. seating at Hudson's Restaurant where each couple will choose an appetizer, two entrée's and one dessert. Gratuity and beverages are not included and the offer is only valid on the ticketed performance evening. Afterwards, patrons can drive down the road to the nearby Barlow Community Center where reserved seats and a great production of GUYS AND DOLLS will await them.

Performance dates are April 24 & 25 and May 1, 2, 3, 8, 9, 15 & 16. Dinner and show packages are $55 per couple and are only available by calling the reservation number at 330-655-8522. Seating is limited. Individual show only tickets are $12 and are available now via the web at www.HudsonPlayers.com or by calling 330-655-8522. Curtain time is 8 p.m., with a special 2 p.m. matinee on May 3. (Dinner and show package is not available with matinee). Group and senior discounts are available.

Based on The Idyll of Sarah Brown and the other characters created by Damon Runyon, and set in his mythical New York City, this oddball romantic comedy is considered by many to be the perfect musical comedy. Its excellence and enjoyability has been recognized over the years with 15 Tony Awards, four Academy Awards nominations and two Golden Globe Awards including Best Picture.
Featuring such great songs as "Luck be a Lady", "Fugue for Tinhorns" and "Sit Down You're Rocking the Boat," Guys AND Dolls soars with the spirit of Broadway as it introduces us to a cast of vivid legendary characters: Sarah Brown, the upright but uptight "mission doll," out to reform the evildoers of Time Square; Sky Masterson, the slick, high-rolling gambler who woos her on a bet and ends up falling in love; Adelaide, the chronically ill nightclub performer whose condition is brought on by the fact she's been engaged to the same man for 14 years; and Nathan Detroit, her devoted fiancé, desperate as always to find a spot for his infamous floating crap game.

Everything works out in the end, thanks to the machinations of Abe Burrows and Jo Swerling's hilarious, fast-paced book and Frank Loesser's bright, brassy, immortal score, which takes us from the heart of Times Square to the cafes of Havana, Cuba, and even into the sewers of New York City. Funny and romantic, Guys And Dolls is ideal for audiences of any age and is not to be missed fun.
