Retail Attendant - Shakespeare Theatre Company

The Shakespeare Theatre Company is seeking individuals with a love of the Arts for a position with the flexibility to work anywhere from 8 hours to up to 29 hours per week, depending on scheduled events. The Gift Shop Attendant will participate in the set-up and supervision of the gift shop, arrange inventory, advise Manager of any pending shortages; greet guests and explain items for sale with suggestive selling techniques, perform clean-up duties, properly record all transactions and perform accurate cash handling, and demonstrate flexibility by rotating to other locations when necessary. We are especially in need of employees who are available most evenings and weekends in addition to some holidays. Must possess the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment, as well as have strong interpersonal and communication skills. Knowledge of theatre front of house operations preferred. The ability to stand for long periods of time and some heavy lifting of up to 20 lbs. may be required.
