About Guild Hall of East Hampton

Guild Hall, one of the first multidisciplinary centers in the country to combine a museum, theater, and education space under one roof, was established in 1931 as a gathering place for community where an appreciation for the arts would serve to encourage greater civic participation. For nearly nine decades, Guild Hall has embraced this open-minded vision and provided a welcoming environment for the public to engage with art exhibitions, performances, and educational offerings. Art and artists have long been the engine of Guild Hall's activities and the institution continues to find innovative ways to support creativity in everyone.

Description: Guild Hall of East Hampton invites promising professionals to apply for its arts education fellowship. This newly created position, the Patti Kenner Fellowship in Arts Education, serves to support both adult learners and the next generation of artists, theater makers, and creative professionals through high quality, inventive, and pioneering educational offerings. The inaugural fellow will gain in-depth fieldwork experience by designing, facilitating, and teaching programs that address the needs of school children, teens, families, and adults. Critical to the success of the fellowship is the recipient's ability to create educational programs that incorporate the exhibitions in the Guild Hall Museum, and the programs in the John Drew Theater. The Fellow will work with Museum staff, Theater staff, and the Teen Arts Council and Artist-in-Residence Coordinator to enhance and expand existing offerings.

Requirements: BA in arts education or related field. At least one year's experience working in related position. Demonstration of interest in best practices and emerging trends in the field.

Term: This appointment is full-time for two years, renewable thereafter.

Applying: Applicants should submit a CV, a letter of interest outlining a proposed approach to educational programming at Guild Hall, and a list of three academic or professional references.

Salary: Full-time, with a salary of $40,000 (subject to payroll taxes), plus benefits after three months.

Guild Hall is an Equal Employment Opportunity Employer.
