A masterclass-style, low-pressure, high-encouragement and maximum fun voice class. No matter what your initial skill or comfort levels are, Singing Solo helps you improve your singing voice, grow your knowledge of your own instrument, and build confidence singing in front of others. Only twelve spots available!



Mondays 7:00pm – 9:30pm

8-week series: January 6 – March 9 (no class on January 20 or February 17)

Instructor Bio

Elena Blyskal is an NYC-based soprano, educator, and researcher. Favorite performance credits include Madame Mao (cover) in Nixon in China, Queen of the Night in Die Zauberflöte, and Khloe/Kourtney in the workshop of Dana Kaufman’s Opera Kardashian, which were roles created expressly for her.



Despite her operatic credits, Elena is also a lifelong musical theatre lover. She teaches musical theatre voice privately, plays keyboards in pit orchestras, and has musical directed The Wild Party (Lippa), The Producers, The Wedding Singer, The Wizard of Oz, Annie Warbucks, Jekyll & Hyde, Elf Jr., two productions of Les Miserables: School Edition, and a whopping three productions of High School Musical 2.



Elena earned her Doctor of Musical Arts in Vocal Pedagogy and Performance at the University of Miami’s Frost School of Music, where her research interests included mindfulness practice in the voice studio and cabaret song. She continues to research mental performance skills and is frequently invited to present on this topic for student performers and teachers alike. Elena maintains private studios in NYC and on Long Island, teaches Vocal Pedagogy at CUNY Queens College, and serves as the Choir Director for the Webb Institute. Refund Policy

AWT You(niversity) tuition is completely non-refundable for any reason whatsoever. Participants who withdraw from a program more than seven (7) days prior to their first class may transfer tuition toward a future program within one calendar year from the start of the initial program purchased. Participants who withdraw within seven (7) days from their first class are not eligible for a refund of any kind, will not be able to transfer tuition towards a future program, and are responsible for the full tuition amount regardless of how many monthly payments have incurred at the time of withdrawal.
