Tickets to WICKED, "Broadway's biggest blockbuster" (The New York Times), go on sale at 8 AM Friday, October 30, 2009 for a limited three week run, February 17- March 7, 2010, at the Benjamin and Marian Schuster Performing Arts Center. Tickets will be available for sale to the general public WALK-UP only at 8 AM, October 30. Phone and online sales begin later the same morning at 10 AM.

Due to the unprecedented demand for tickets to WICKED, it is likely that Dayton engagement of WICKED will sell out in record time.Tickets can be purchased at TICKET CENTER STAGE, located in the Wintergarden of the Schuster Center at the corner of Second and Ludlow Streets, downtown Dayton. Winner of 26 major awards including the Grammy Award and three Tony Awards, Wicked is the untold story of the witches of Oz. Long before Dorothy drops in, two other girls meet in the land of Oz. One, born with emerald-green skin, is smart, fiery and misunderstood. The other is beautiful, ambitious and very popular. Wicked tells the story of their remarkable odyssey, how these two unlikely friends grow to become the Wicked Witch of the West and Glinda the Good.

Declared "A Cultural Phenomenon" by Variety, Wicked currently has productions in New York, San Francisco, London, Tokyo, Stuttgart, Sydney and on two North American tours. Based on the novel byGregory Maguire, Wicked has music and lyrics by Stephen Schwartz, and a book byWinnie Holzman.
