Broadway in Cincinnati & KINKY BOOTS Partner with Dress for Success Cincinnat

By:

Together with KINKY BOOTS, Broadway in Cincinnati is announcing an opportunity to give local women a step up. Patrons are encouraged to bring new or gently-used boots, high heels and other professional women's shoes when they come to see KINKY BOOTS at the Aronoff Center, January 5-17, and those donations go directly to the local non-profit organization Dress for Success Cincinnati. Dress for Success empowers women to achieve economic independence by providing a network of support, professional attire and development tools to help women thrive in work and in life. Donations are also accepted in advance of the show at the Aronoff Center Box Office.

Inspired by true events, KINKY BOOTS takes you from a gentlemen's shoe factory in Northampton to the glamorous catwalks of Milan. Charlie Price is struggling to live up to his father's expectations and continue the family business of Price & Son. With the factory's future hanging in the balance, help arrives in the unlikely but spectacular form of Lola, a fabulous performer in need of some sturdy new stilettos.

Dress for Success Cincinnati was founded in 1999 to promote the economic independence of disadvantaged women by providing professional attire, a network of support, and the career development tools needed to help them thrive in work and life. They provide services and resources to nearly 1,800 women each year who are working to secure a job and achieve self-sufficiency, their ultimate measure of success.

KINKY BOOTS will play the Aronoff Center from January 5 - 17: Tuesday - Thursday at 7:30PM, Friday at 8:00PM, Saturday at 2:00PM and 8:00PM and Sunday at 1:00PM and 6:30PM. Tickets for KINKY BOOTS start at $29. They are available at the Aronoff Center Box Office downtown at 650 Walnut Street, online at CincinnatiArts.org or by phone at 513.621.ARTS. For groups of 10 or more, contact the group sales department at 513.369.4363. Performance schedule, prices and cast are subject to change without notice.
