Celebrate the 2023 3Arts Awards honoring talented artists in dance, theater, visual arts, music, and arts education. Donnetta “LilBit” Jackson, Rika Lin, Rashada Dawan, Avreeayl Ra, Nancy García Loza, and Charlotte “Chuck” Gruman are among the awardees. Grammy Award-winning opera singer Will Liverman will perform at the event.

The Chicago Latino Theater Alliance has appointed Jorge Valdivia its new Executive Director. Valdivia comes to CLATA from the National Museum of Mexican Art, where he served as the Director of Performing Arts, leading the museum in presenting a year-round calendar of events focusing on performing arts, literature, and film.
The American Company of Irish Dance will present a brand-new entertainment experience with the world premiere of its new show Aisling (ash-ling). This is Irish dance as never before seen as it will be presented in a theatrical format with all new music, choreography, and costuming and many new cast members from North America and Europe. Aisling opens at various venues in Wisconsin beginning on June 9 and closes in Chicago on June 17.
Lyric Opera of Chicago today announced the company’s 2022/23 Season, featuring productions of classic operas, a continuing long-term focus on developing and presenting new work, plus the return of Lyric’s annual spring musical.
The Joan W. and Irving B. Harris Theater for Music and Dance announced today its Harris Theater Presents season for 2021-22. Beginning with a free outdoor event on the Harris Theater Rooftop in August, the Theater will reopen to the public for the first time since March 2020.
