Celebrated singer Margaret Stewart debuts her new concert "Under 50 Need Not Apply" at the Skokie Theatre, 7924 N Lincoln Ave, Skokie, at 8:00pm on Friday, September 30, 2011. Margaret Stewart's musical journey began at 54. "In 1997, I took a year off from my life in corporate America to discover my creative self, " states Stewart. "My life changing moment was singing with my sisters at a 50th wedding anniversary party. I realized I wanted to pursue a solo singing career."

Since that day, Stewart's career has ranged from international performances in Ireland and Scotland (including The Abbey Theatre in Dublin and Castle Fraser in Scotland) to regional performances including Davenports, Trump Casino with koko Taylor, and benefits for Greater Chicago Food Depository and the American Red Cross. In 2003, Stewart released her first CD entitled "Alright, Okay, You Win" for sale on iTunes, Amazon and CD Baby.

Songs featured in the show include "Hound Dog", "Our Love is Here to Stay", "Fever" and "Long John Blues".
