The Trap Door Theatre Hosts HUNGRY MOTHER this Summer
Alison Vodnoy Wolf is an actor, playwright, and dancer. Her acting credits include HENRY V (Babes with Blades), DESCENT (Gnomon Shadow Theatre), boom and The Eyes of Oedipus (Know Theatre), and TRAFFICK (Pones). She wrote and performed a one-woman show, In Rehearsal, and toured it to theatres throughout the Midwest. In Rehearsal was awarded two Cincinnati ACCLAIM awards for best solo performance and best solo script. As a playwright her adaptations, The Eyes of Oedipus and The Dragon, were commissioned and produced by The Know Theatre. Her adaptation of James Joyce's ULYSSES was commissioned and performed by the Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music Drama Department. Director Elyse Dawson is a theatre arts from Dayton, Ohio, where she received her B.F.A. in Acting at Wright State University. She made her directing debut last summer with the Jeff Recommended world premiere of THE PROMISE OF A Rose Garden with Babes With Blades Theater Company where she also serves as Co-Artistic Director. As an actor she has shared the stage with Akvavit Theatre, WildClaw Theatre, Otherworld Theatre Company and will be performing in MACBETH at Oak Park Festival Theatre starting in June.
