The Revival to Present TRIGGER This Fall
The Revival, Hyde Park's new comedy theater, presents TRIGGER.
TRIGGER - The Revival's inaugural sketch comedy revue - opens Saturday, October 1st at 8:00pm and plays every Saturday at 8:00pm through November 5th. Tickets can be purchased at www.the-revival.com.
TRIGGER is an exploration of chain reactions. How do past events impact our lives in 2016? What price will others pay for the choices we make today? Sometimes the trigger needs to be pulled...even if we don't know where the bullet will land. From flawed presidential nominees to kids on the south side with hoop dreams, TRIGGER is a hilarious and irreverent sketch comedy revue.
TRIGGER is directed by Cassie Ahiers; assistant directed by Stacie James and features live jazz music from the Cam Cunningham Trio.
TRIGGER is written and performed by an ensemble of homegrown favorites that includes Terrence Carey, Wanjiku Kairu, Aadam Keeley, Shannon Noll, Molly Ruthenberg, and Sam Taylor.
The Revival is a new comedy venue in Hyde Park dedicated to reflecting the diversity of Chicago's South Side on stage. Inspired by the legacy of the Compass Players, The Revival brings improvisational comedy back to the spot where it was born on the northeast corner of 55th St. and University Ave. This 150-seat, cabaret-style theater features a diverse range of programming including sketch comedy, improv, standup, music and more.
