The Paradeigma Collective to Stage SHEPHERD'S DAUGHTER, 7/10-8/2
The Paradeigma Collective bursts onto Chicago's theatre scene with an original play written by Whitney LaMora. Produced in association with The Chicago Mammals, Shepherd's Daughter explores the mystery of Joan of Arc, a woman, a soldier, a saint, and the maladies, pathologies, and politics that contributed to her heroism. The Paradeigma Collective brings Joan to life and explores the dimensions of her terrific journey by presenting characters who manifest her piety, her madness, her illness, her bravery, and her doubt. This impassioned imagining of the epic tale of Joan of Arc is not to be missed!
The cast includes Whitney LaMora as Joan of Arc, Mary-Kate Arnold, Don Biocchi, Dustin Currier, Matthew Erickson, Sarah Kopp, Megan Ligeti, A.J. Miller, Mallory Nees, and Hayley Rice.
The production team includes Emily Sharp (director), Megan Ligeti and Rissa Crozier (costume design), Lauren Yarbrough (stage manager) and Hayley Rice (floor manager and dramaturgy) with sound design and original music by Dustin Currier.
Shepherd's Daughter will run July 11-August 2, with a preview performance on July 10, at Zoo Studios. Performances are Fridays and Saturdays at 8:00pm. Tickets are $20 and can be purchased at http://joan.brownpapertickets.com.
