The Music Institute of Chicago Offers Musical Petting Zoo This January

The Music Institute of Chicago invites families to learn about music and options for music lessons and classes by attending one of its Musical Petting Zoo and Registration Days in January, free and open to the public. The winter session begins January 30, 2017.

The schedule of events is as follows:

• Sunday, January 8, 2 p.m., Evanston East Campus, 1490 Chicago Avenue
• Saturday, January 21, 2 p.m., Highland Park Library, 494 Laurel Avenue
• Sunday, January 22, 2 p.m., Winnetka Campus, 300 Green Bay Road

Children can try a wide range of instruments at a musical petting zoo as well as enjoy music games and refreshments while parents learn about the Music Institute from faculty and staff. All who attend will have the opportunity to receive discounts, door prizes, and more.

The Music Institute of Chicago is dedicated to transforming lives through music education. Founded in 1931, the Music Institute has grown to become one of the largest and most respected community music schools in the nation. In addition, the Music Institute is proud of its longstanding partnership with the Chicago Public Schools through its Arts Link program. The Music Institute offers lessons and classes, and concerts through its Community Music School, Academy, and Nichols Concert Hall.
