Casting Complete for World Premiere of The Medium At Large;
Best-Selling Author & Tony-Nominated Actor Return to Chicago

Casting has been completed for the World Premiere of The Medium at Large as best-selling author of "The Artist's Way," Julia Cameron, collaborates with Tony-nominated actor John Herrera in a return home to make both their dreams come true.

JULIA CAMERON: Thirty books in print, many of them best sellers, millions of copies sold. Her work teaches creative unblocking, and, using the tools herself, (she calls herself a "floor sample" of her own toolkit) she brings her new musical--her own Artist's Way--to the city where she grew up, and where her blockbuster book was written.

John Herrera: Thirty years on Broadway, a Tony nomination, and an Artist's Way "alum" himself, starring in the title role of Cameron's new musical-- a role that, before he'd finished reading the script, felt like it was written for him.

THE COLLABORATION: A world premiere musical by Cameron and Emma Lively, The Medium at Large, starring Herrera as Bruce, the Medium. A romantic comedy set in New York City in 1938, filled with hope, mischief, ghosts, and the idea that those who have passed on have never really left us at all...it's possible!

Also appearing in the production are many performers who appeared in The Full Monty, the most successful production in Village Players' history, including Kendel Lester (also in Bailiwick's recent hit production of Dennis DeYoung's The Hunchback of Notre Dame), Tim Grover, Tyler Dean, Laurie Marchese, Chuck Sisson, and Guy Klinzing, who recently appeared in the World Premiere of Love in the Middle Ages at Village Players. The rest of the cast includes Lorraine Freund, Eugenia Elliott (also a popular Chicago singer/songwriter), Kristen Stafford, and Stefanie Piatkiewicz.

Production staff includes director Carl Occhipinti (Artistic Director of VP), Musical Director Tyler Beattie, Set Designer Bill Jenkins, & Set Designer John List (all from VP's Love in the Middle Ages), Lighting Designer Seth Reinick, Costume Designer Anna Glowacki, Choreographer Kirsten Lendyke, and Make-Up Artist Pat Collins.

The Medium at Large previews October 17 & October 18 and runs from October 19 – November 16, 2008. Show times are 8 PM on Fridays & Saturdays, and 3 PM on Sundays. Tickets for regular performances are $25 for adults and $20 for Students & Seniors. Preview tickets are $15.
