The Kiss Kiss Cabaret Kicks Off Halloween Show Tonight

By:

The Kiss Kiss Cabaret presents the 5th annual "Peek-A-Boo: An Ooky Spooky Halloween Revue", today, Oct. 3 through Nov. 7 followed by "Holiday Spectacular" Nov. 14 through Dec. 19. There are no performances on Friday, Nov. 28 or Dec. 26. The Kiss Kiss Cabaret performances are on Fridays at 11 p.m. at the Greenhouse Theater Center, 2257 N. Lincoln Ave. General admission tickets are $20 and VIP tickets, which include reserved seating, interactions with the host throughout the show, and post-show photo opportunities with the cast, are $25. For tickets or information visit www.KissKissCabaret.com

Attendees to "Peek-A-Boo" are treated to an axe-wielding opening number, Halloween-themed solos sure to thrill and chill and the ever popular, black-light, grand finale "Red Right Hand". For "Holiday Spectacular", patrons both naughty and nice are treated to brand new solos to warm the chilly nights, two delightful group numbers and the rousing "kazoo chorus" of O Holy Night.

"This is the Kiss Kiss Cabaret's favorite time of year," said co-producer Jenn A Kincaid. "We started the Kiss Kiss Cabaret as a Halloween show in 2009 and it has now grown into a year-round mainstay in Chicago burlesque. Now we are excited to be growing even more with the upcoming opening of our own theater space dedicated to adult entertainment - the Uptown Underground."

The Kiss Kiss Cabaret producers are currently building the Uptown Underground - a 7,000 square foot retro-themed adult entertainment venue at 4707 N. Broadway slated to open for New Years Eve 2014. Located below street level in the Uptown Broadway Building, the Uptown Underground hosts a 150-seat main stage, a full service bar and a 60-seat cabaret space. The Uptown Underground will be the new home of The Kiss Kiss Cabaret as well as other area burlesque companies (including Indianapolis burlesque troupe, PUR) and retro entertainment including cabaret, magic, stand-up and vaudeville variety in an immersive jazz-age themed theater space.

Additionally, The Kiss Kiss Cabaret is also presenting micro shows at Drop, 1909 N. Lincoln Ave., the first and third Thursday of every month. The micro shows are two, 30-minute appearances at 9:30 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. Performers include the Kiss Kiss Coquettes, "That Juggling Guy" Brad French, and the Claptrap Family Orchestra among others. Admission to Drop shows is FREE and the bar offers excellent drink specials to complement the evening of entertainment.

The Kiss Kiss Cabaret was voted best burlesque troupe in the Chicago Reader's 2013 Best of Chicago poll and is Chicago's longest running weekly burlesque/comedy performance presenting a crowd-pleasing, modern spin on the classic vaudeville show since 2011. The Kiss Kiss Cabaret features burlesque strip teases, bawdy comedy and inventive variety performers including jugglers, musicians, acrobats and magicians. Every performance features a rotating cast of dancers and comedians and is different each week.

The Kiss Kiss Cabaret is currently in an open run, Fridays at 11 p.m. at the Greenhouse Theater Center, 2257 N. Lincoln Ave. "Peek-A-Boo: An Ooky Spooky Halloween Revue" runs Oct. 3 through Nov. 7 and "Holiday Spectacular" opens Nov. 14 through Dec. 19 at the Greenhouse Theater Center, 2257 N. Lincoln Ave. There are no performances on Friday, Nov. 28 for Thanksgiving or Dec. 26 for Christmas. General admission tickets are $20 and VIP tickets are $25. Drop performances are the first and third Thursday of the month at 1909 N. Lincoln and are free. For tickets or more information, call 773-404-7336 or visit www.KissKissCabaret.com.
