The musical twist on the classic tale of THE NUTCRACKER comes to life for children of all ages at The Marriott Theatre for Young Audiences, 10 Marriott Drive in Lincolnshire, from November 11 through December 30, with a press opening on Saturday, November 19 at 10 a.m. Filled with magic, mystery, heartwarming musical numbers, and a whole lot of fun, this classic holiday musical will be directed and choreographed by Matt Raftery.

Captivating audiences for nearly 200 years, THE NUTCRACKER is the story of a young girl named Marie and her unusual Christmas gift. When Marie receives a beautiful Nutcracker on Christmas Eve from her mysterious Uncle Drosselmeyer, she awakens in the middle of the night to find that her nutcracker has come to life. Unfortunately, other toys have come to life as well, including the evil Mouse King. The Mouse King has stolen the powerful magic crown which has the ability to turn the wearer into a human boy.It will take a team of kind-hearted toys to help Marie reach the Sugar Plum Fairy and reclaim the Nutcracker's crown before the wicked Mouse King gets there first!

This holiday musical is perfect for all ages and celebrates friendship and the beauty of the holiday spirit. The tale is enhanced by the exhilarating music of Tchaikovsky, along with additional music and lyrics by Marc Robin.

Starring in THE NUTCRACKER are Leryn Turlington as Marie, Brandon Springman as the Nutcracker, Alexis J. Roston as Joe, Alex Weisman as Fritz and Mouse King, Alejandro Fonseca as the Soldier, Amanda Tanguay as the Horse, Jeff Max as Henry and Shmo, Rashada Dawan as Lottie, Snow Queen and Sugar Plum Fairy, Nate Braga as Jack in the Box, Lauren Blane as Clara, and Don Forston as Drosselmeyer.
