THE ADVENTURES OF NATE THE GREAT Comes to Theatre Arlington

Main Street welcomes the area's brightest up-and-coming young actors in the first all-youth production of Theatre Arlington's 46th season, The Adventures of Nate the Great. These beloved children's books by Marjorie Weinman Sharmat were first introduced in 1972, and are brought to life in this stage adaptation by Pamela Sterling. Nate, a child's version of Sam Spade, and his faithful dog, Sludge, and his assistant Kate combine forces to solve their neighborhood's biggest mysteries. Although Nate is the first person his friends call when something goes missing or awry, he is never too busy to leave a note for his mother or wear his galoshes when it's raining.

Theatre Arlington's all-youth production of The Adventures of Nate the Great is directed by Maggie Younkin, a Theatre Arlington ACTS teaching artist, and showcases the talents of a cast and crew, all aged 18 and under. Joining Ms. Younkin at the helm is stage manager, Ashton Morales.

This loveable and talented cast features Michael Sendejo as Nate, Sammy Thornton as Dave, Emery Swank as Kate, Brent Kirkland as Sludge, Ashley Ross as Annie, Bella Swan as Harry, Kaelynne White as Rosamond, Britton Cooper as Claude, Cooper Campbell as Oliver, Nicholas Johnson as Finley, Madee McClanahan as Pip, Claire Donnelly as Esmeralda, Trinity Swan as Fang, Samantha McKechnie as Big Hex, Calleigh White as Little Hex, Brianna DeFalco as Plain Hex, Kathryn Rushing as Super Hex, Gabrielle Smith as Agatha, Hannah Anderson as Anastasia, Jackson Swan as Pip's Parrot and Grace Sims, Samuel Caylor, Jillian Turley and Jordyn Clinton round out the ensemble.

Production team members also include Bill Eickenloff (Sound Designer), Bryan Stevenson (Lighting Designer), Cathy Pritchett (Properties Designer), Angie Glover (Scenic Artist), Mary Thomas (Assistant Scenic Artist), Lazaro Espinoza (Set Construction) and Janice Pennington (Costume Assistant).

The Adventures of Nate the Great opens on Friday, October 19th at 7:30pm. Opening Night festivities will include a post-show reception with the cast and crew, sponsored by Pie Five Pizza (N. Collins in Arlington), with dessert provided by Cooper Street Bakery.

The Adventures of Nate the Great is presented by special arrangement with Dramatic Publishing, Woodstock, IL. See website for more information and to purchase tickets: www.TheatreArlington.org. Box Office: 817.275.7661.
