StarKid Releases Additional Tickets For New Musical 1/24

A new block of tickets for Team StarKid's new comedy musical Starship, will be released on Monday, January 24th via www.brownpapertickets.com. All tickets are priced at $25. 

Starship marks the Chicago debut of Internet sensation Team StarKid (the creative team behind the viral hit A Very Potter Musical) and boasts an all-star cast of StarKid veterans, puppets by Russ Walko of Swazzle, and original music and lyrics by Darren Criss of "Glee." Criss shot to stardom when his cover of Katy Perry's "Teenage Dream" became the best-selling single in "Glee" history. Criss is best-known to StarKid fans as "Harry Potter" in both A Very Potter Musical and A Very Potter Sequel, for which he also contributed music and lyrics to both productions.

Hailing from the University of Michigan, Team StarKid is a true Cinderella story for the modern age. In just over a year, StarKid has reached over 55 million views on YouTube, hit #11 on the Billboard charts, and captured the attention of national media such as Entertainment Weekly, "Access Hollywood," "Entertainment
Tonight," and MTV. Now based in Chicago, StarKid Productions remains committed to pioneering the Internet as a new outlet for theatre distribution.

Starship will be presented at the Hoover-Leppen Theatre at Center on Halsted, 3656 North Halsted, from Friday, February 11 to Wednesday, February 23 at 7:00 p.m. There will be no performance on Wednesday, February 16, 2011. (Press Performance: Sunday, February 13 at 7:00 p.m.) Tickets, priced at $25, will be available for purchase on Monday, January 24 at www.brownpapertickets.com.
