ShawChicago Theater Company presents George Bernard Shaw's ARMS AND THE MAN from February 2, 2019 through February 25, 2019 at the Ruth Page Center for the Arts, 1016 N. Dearborn Street, Chicago, IL 60610.

During the last days of the Serbo-Bulgarian war, a mercenary soldier named Bluntschli takes refuge from pursuing Bulgarian forces in the bedroom of Raina Petkoff, an idealistic Bulgarian girl engaged to marry another man. Raina helps Bluntschli escape that night-but then the war ends, the men come home, and the mysterious Bluntschli unexpectedly returns to the Petkoff household as well. In one of his most scintillating romantic comedies, Shaw examines both the futility of war and the hypocrisies of the human heart in ARMS AND THE MAN.
