You need an escape, and The Second City is here to take your mind off things with the return of The Second City Dysfunctional Holiday Revue, December 5-21 at the Copley Theatre, 8 E. Galena Blvd. in downtown Aurora.
Performances are Thursday at 7:30 p.m., Friday and Saturday at 8 p.m., and Sunday at3 p.m. Tickets are $35. The Second City Dysfunctional Holiday Revue is the live comedy revue that aims Chicago's most acclaimed comic improvisers' usual brand of brash and irreverent humor with laser beam focus at the foibles of the holiday season. Don't miss this hilarious evening of skits, songs and equal opportunity fun. Nothing is off limits - from your drunken Uncle Adolph and office parties, to how that first Christmas really went down. Be ready to laugh and be ready to buy tickets early. Most of these shows sell out in advance.

Blair Beeken, Kelsey Kinney, John Sabine, Jasbir Singh, Jamison Webb and Casey Whitaker unleash their whip-smart improvisation, comic offbeat songs, and willingness to skewer any seasonal topic you can name.
As directed by Anneliese Toft, with musical direction by Tara Trudel and stage management by Katie Hildreth, nothing is too sacred for The Second City's Dysfunctional Holiday Revue.
